Perfect fit, ageing B movie Actor (Actress in this case) with comedic timing. it would be BRILLIANT!!

It’s not a bad choice. I’d still wish they would leave well enough alone (at the very LEAST don’t aim for a PG-13 folks, but go R. Is it too much to ask?) and yes, 420, Roddy McDowell was Peter Vincent, The Great Vampire Killer. I don’t know who could fill those shoes (I’d suggest Doug Bradley, Jeffery Combs or Christopher Lee)

This could be a fun re-visit. I liked the original when it came out. good family fun in the spirit of “Love at first bite” (that should get a redo as well)
