The setting is similar to Troy, but other then that it’s really nothing like it and an even better story.

Well you have to understand this movie was made well before both of our times, so I guess that’s why it seemed “corny” to you. But out dated acting and effects aside, the core story is awesome.

It’s even had allot of influence over the years. If you’ve ever played the God of War series, one of the greatest action game series’ ever, it was highly influenced by Clash of the Titans. Infact, in GOW II, theres a part where you get to fight the main hero from Clash, Precious, which is one of the coolest boss battles in the game. And they were even able to get the original actor who played him in the movie to do Precious’ voice acting in the game.

Can’t say much for the set pics, they’re not bad though, just not much to them, but I can’t wait for this movie. Fantastic casting and director for this remake.

But also, Like Raiders of the Lost Ark, I grew up watching Clash of the Titans with my grand father. The original holds many fond memories for me from my child hood. I still remember how creepy and weird looking the main villain with the fork hand was to me at a young age, Medusa as well. Then my grand father and I talking about the movie and how cool it all was.

For I can only imagine how all these amazing creatures from the original will look in today’s high end effects. It’s going to be just amazing.
