This was the biggest letdown in DVD History… especially considering that The Dark Knight was the 2nd grossing movie of all time. There were so little features on the second disc, I’m surprised that Warner Bros. didn’t get sued by all these “Go Green” fanatics; it was a waist of plastic. And if they’re planning on releasing some kind of special documentary later on… they should have let us know so that we would not have wasted our money on the 2-disc edition. After I watched Dark Knight in theaters for the first time, I told my wife “I can’t wait to see the special features on the DVD”, boy was I naive! Heath Ledger deserved so much more to be remembered by (How he was chosen for the role, how he got into Character, how much he contributed to the film… not to mention THIS WAS HIS LAST COMPLETED FILM!!!). I also would have like to see how the other new characters were cast and how Nolan came up with the direction of the film… and God Forbid hints to the next chapter. All Post Production for big movies like this one need to take a hint from the LOTR (Lord of the Rings) franchise when it comes to making special features for DVD’s. DON’T WAIST YOUR $$ ON THE 2-DISK DVD!

The special features are the same bullshit that was available on On Demand when the film was in theaters over the summer. Fuck Warner Bros.

dudes! i got it today!! i watched it already, that makes my combined time seeing it 4. i got the wide screen addition, and in circuit city, they were playing the whole movie on Blue-Ray. all i had to say was WOAH, it was so clear it was like Heath was infront of me in real life!

bbtw, any bonus features on wide screen addition? because i cant find them

Stores need to stop releasing bonus content with the products it is to much.

FUll Screen needs to go away. Anyone who buys the Dark Knight and watches it in full screen should see prison time.

im not entirely buying nolans comment that there are no extra scenes or a longer directors cut of the film. warner brothers certainly knew this would be a major holiday item, so why release an essential bare bones release ? they’re more than willing to produce ultimate editions for shit like 300 & LEGEND. the batpod is nice, but after shelling out $50, im not too eager in running out to purchase it again for the promise of two 10 minute interviews/ extra scenes with heath leadger in full costume.
if they are holding out, they shouldve refered to the LOTR dvd release plan, one basic followed by an ultimate edition; at least your giving the consumer an option with their money.
