I think you’ve nailed it with Atkinson. As I was scrolling down the page I had to agree immediately. I didn’t care about the others. The others on the list are fine choices…but they would pale in comparison. The Black Adder is so much like Gargamel anyway…Nefarious, cunning, and forever doomed to comical failure…great pick!

I would say Alfred Molina perhaps (but after that Dudley Do Right movie, he’d probably stay the hell away from this).

Otherwise, i’m down for Atkinson. I also encourage people to see Blackadder as well and see just how sinister and mean Atkinson can play.

Awesome suggestions Rodney!
I would like any of these guys as Gargamel, all of them would make that character their very own I’ sure.
Atkinson and DeVito would probably turn it more into a slapstick kind of thing, so I would prefer Cohen or the Blumhammer (Man, that would be AWESOME!!!!)
I also wanna throw in Steve Carrell or Will Ferrell. They be bloody funny as well I’m sure.
