Look up the police report. It’s available. he was found DUI. There’s no if’s and’s or but’s about it. He was drinking, then drove.

No, Shia is still the one who drank then drove. My rant on his wasn’t about the accident, it’s about the attitude that he’s more important than everyone else alive and it’s ok for him to drink then put everyone else’s life at risk by driving.

Mel Gibson never hit anyone nor had any accident last year when he was arrested for DUI, and I said the exact same thing about him. GO TO JAIL. You choose to put people’s lives at risk, then you should go to jail. Period.

His passenger (Isabel Lucas) and another driver also suffered minor injuries.Two days later, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman announced that La Beouf was not at fault in the accident, saying that the other driver had run a red light.

Driving after drinking alcohol is not illegal. Driving while impaired or intoxicated is illegal.

He was booked on suspicion of DUI. No breathalyzer test was administered at the scene of the accident because any injuries are attended to first. But a blood test was surely administered at the hospital.

So let’s wait for the blood test results before we start burning the kid in effigy.

I know the topic is dead by now, but they just announced that LaBeouf was NOT at fault for the accident. It seems the other car blew a red light and smashed into him…

This is not first time he has gotten in trouble with the law and I have a feeling it wont be the last.

He should be severly punished for this. But I bet nearly everyone here including the OP has driven under the influence before. Its wrong, but we all do it. Hypocrasy is wrong too.

Cere – I hate to burst your bubble there, but comparing drink driving with shooting a loaded gun into a crowd is fairly comparative. Shooting a gun into a crowd is not a certainty that you will kill someone, let alone injure a person, but there is a pretty good chance that shoot enough times then something will happen eventually. Likewise, stick a person behind a wheel who is over the legal drinking limit and sooner or later they will cause a fatality or seriously injure someone. It is not as far removed a comparison as you think. I don’t know anyone who would not see drinking driving as dangerous an act as waving a loaded gun around. Both are acts which require very little morality and zero foresight. You get in a car whilst intoxicated and you WILL end up seriously injuring yourself, someone else, or killing someone. It’s not that different to shooting a weapon. Let’s not be too pedantic now.
