Because you didnt write the movie.

Where they pull their lore from for the basis of the movie has nothing to do with popularity. I would imagine that a lesser known (yet still interesting) story that involves a near god like transformer of lore would make a better story than something we already know how it plays out.

Besides, it has long since been confirmed that this is the story they are using. This article was from last summer.

In reply to Sir Jig-A-Lot. I'm going to have to agree with jugs a lot. Personally I think that "the fallen" might refer to all of the characters that fell in the first movie, maybe being reanimated by random fragments of the allspark. Regardless, the chance of them using such an obscure character like " the fallen" is pretty slim. Why would they use a character with such a minute role in the transformers universe?

i think its very simple- the fallen (decepticons) will have their revenge from when the autobots kicked their ass even though they outnumbered them

not to mention decepticons dwarf autobots and that they were like- fucking tanks and jet planes while autobots were pontiacs and chevys.

the decepticons that ran away like bitches (barricade and starscream) are the fallen and maybe megatron and theyll come back with more decepticons (megatron will come back as galvatron like some people sayd already)

i hope that when they say fallen they also mean bonecrusher and when they say revenge they mean that hell come back because he needs to come back if they want devastator to have a left arm

Sumo, relax. Like I already mentioned, it was a joke. Its very unlikely that Unicron will be in this movie, and if he is it will be in name alone.

Whatever happens, they most definitely need to bring back Megatron. The guy just didn’t get enough play-time in the first one. I mean, he was only in action throughout the third act, but he was still a huge, damn nightmarish threat of a pissed-off robot. He killed Jazz in probably the most vicious way a robot could kill another robot, then slapped Prime’s ass around ’till The Beef decided to cram the Allspark into his chest. But imagine if that same nightmarishly pissed-off Hasbro Toy was a threat right from the get-go of the sequel? Or even better… if he was answering to a higher power (Unicron). It might mean little exposition, fallowed by IMMEDIATE TRANSFORMER FIGHTS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Sounds to me like two solid hours of crazy robot warfare that’d be guaranteed to rake in my money at least twice.

According to Devin at chud the title does refer to this The Fallen character. I’ve been pretty outspoken around these parts about my dislike for the first terrible film but I have to admit, if the rumors are true this would go a long way to addressing my criticisms of the film.

I’m still not on board with the sequel but at least this is a step in a new more promising direction.

Who cares who’s the fallen? It will be another dumb movie with robots punching each other while trying to follow a lame plot with a few lines thrown in for cheap laughs.
