LoL, Kristina – you certainly are reading too much into a Bay movie. I bet they would use some MIB type of excuse and wipe peoples minds so that they cover up the whole giant robot thing.

Something that I still don’t get from the first one that will hopefully be addressed in the second: so the Transformers have a HUGE fight in downtown LA where tons of people have seen them up close. Buildings are damaged. With all that chaos and destruction, there’s gotta be at least ONE human casualty. For Pete’s sake, Optimus and Megatron fly THROUGH A PACKED BUILDING. There’s no way that EVERYONE dives out of the way just in time. Yet, the end of the movie tells us that Optimus and company are watching over us “in secret” and the evidence of Megatron has been dumped in the ocean. Basically, they’re saying that no one knows about them, right? Okay, I’m no genius, but don’t you think that people know about the Transformers now that a few city blocks and a few civilians have been destroyed by them? Hell, even that fight on the highway when Bonecrusher blows through that bus and throws those cars out of his way…those cars weren’t driving themselves. People have SEEN them. How are they secret? Wouldn’t the public like some answers as to how a few city blocks in a highly populated city were wrecked? If this next one takes them fighting ’round the world and still tries to convince me by the end credits that no one knows about them, I’m calling bullshit. I think it would be a cool idea to let the cat out of the bag, and watch the world’s reaction to the news. Imagine a scene of people cautiously tiptoeing through a parking lot, knowing that there might be a Decepticon out there…

And yeah, I’m thinking way too hard about a film directed by Michael Bay, but come on now. I can only suspend my disbelief so much.

I have extremely low expectations for TF2. Bay will give us exactly what we got before…which was entertaining, but damn I hated most of the campy jokes and what was suppose to be funny scenes.

Theres talk of the Transformer cast list increasing past 20. I don’t get why people are worried about humans being cast in this movie. Just because Matthew Marsden is in it and his character has a name and a role doesn’t mean he’ll have more screen time than Bumblebee.

TF1 was the Origin Story. TF2 is the war. Humans fighting Decepticons is fine because humans will LOSE.

I’ve been a fan of Transformers for years now and any time someone shit on the movie I had to say that I was only expecting from the movie what I hadn’t seen in comics, and thats large robots realisitically fighting. TF2 will continue to deliver that. You want a TF story with no humans, brutal fights, and a great story? Its called “The War Within” and its only available on a printed page.
