The movie is one of my complete obsessions!….it was amazing, some of the acting wasn’t “amazing”, but it wasn’t bad either. Jamie Bell was the best, and in 2011 he needs to be in it.

am i the only sane person here who thinks he’s good looking?

In reply to 420BAND. Since when did a little "B" movie make 221 million? Just because the writers and director decided to begin the series the way they did does not detract from a great premise and wonderful movie!

Hayden Christensen is good in ANYTHING on screen. He has a marvelous yet humble persona. I hope Hollywood doesn’t destroy him, he’s one of those talents that come along once in a lifetime – like Paul Newman or Harrison Ford. Producers, Directors decide how they want the movie to be “acted” so I hope they widen the breadth of “David” in “Jumper”, so we can see how he grows in manhood as “David”. I loved seeing Samuel Jackson and Hayen together, it’s real magic.

I kinda liked Jumper as well, good little “B” movie ans made me not HATE Anakin Skywalker as much.

Loved the nod they make to “Marvel Team Up” in the film (a couple of times)

anything that makes a referance to classic comics or music by Bob Marley (not this flick) gets props with me!

He should have killed Samuel Jackson! But apart from that very good movie and in the deleted scenes Griffin free himself from the electricity. Possible villain maybe? Cannot wait till 2012!

Jumper was awesome, and real perspective from the main character. YES is was all over the place, but that is because we discover what he discovers when he discovers it. Loved it 5/5 , not like the garbage we commonly see out of Hollywood.

Some say the plot was week, and characters thin… i personally don’t think so. fresh, colorful, a must watch.

In reply to melbye. I think they need to have a jumper padalin war lets see the teams kinda like the empire and the rebels. The mom scene at the end where she says thats why im giving you a head start need to have the mom hunt down the son maybe. Jumpers need to unite and form an army then maybe have the government come in and maybe use jumpers in warfare or espinage and help destroy the paladins just a few thoughts

They honestly should have set up how it is they have their ability to teleport in the first movie, which would then set up the plot for the next movie, or something like that.

I thought the movie was brilliant. Above there are comments about the acting. You try acting David Rice and see how far you get ay. His character is self serving and dodgy, and that’s how Hayden portrayed David. So well done on that.
Second, the jumping was not disjointed or shonky. It was purposely shifty in places to display the anger or frustration that the character felt at the time. When the character was calm, the jumping was neat. So there is no need to criticize that aspect.
It’s true that the background is not explained in depth, but does it need to be? It was filled in enough to create a decent movie. If there had been lots of flashbacks, background etc, you’d be complaining that it was boring. Anybody see my point?
Lastly, Griffin is absolutely brilliant and his character overshadowed every other =D

Well, that’s a very vague definition. The first film, before all the sequels, should properly lay out a firm, solid foundation and the following installments should proceed from there…

This movie would’ve been below average for me, if the idea didn’t have a lot of potential. I really quite liked the idea of what he is, and his mom being a Paladin and all that, but that’s as far as it gets. There wasn’t much of a purpose, and the plot was a lost cause.

The character ‘Griffin’ is one part that was good, because his presence explained the purpose of Paladin, but there were some contradictions. His character has a potential of being the main character in possible spin-offs.

I hope they don’t revert him to a side-kick in the next installments.

The romantic aspect of it was so cliched, and quite typical, but I can’t complain; that isn’t the most important part of the plot.

I just hope the next movie is fleshed out from every aspect, and they wouldn’t waste the opportunity of making this ‘trilogy’ reach it’s full potential.

I’d definitely give it another shot.
