The movie was hardcore! Tony Jaa is a freak of nature indeed! He’s really push himself this time. He is doing not just Muay Thai but Kung Fu, Swordplay, a little wrestling, Drunken Fist, rope like weapon, nun chuck like weapon but longer and with three poles, etc. I also forgot to mention he is freakin’ fast, I mean Jet Li fast! He is doing crazy stunts as he did before! No stuntman, no strings, no CG, etc. It’s all done by him!

As far as I can remember, he doesn’t necessarily do any new moves but he does fight a caporeira fighter which is cool and there’s also that intense 4 minute action scene with absolutely no cuts. I have high hopes for this one. The first Ong Bak impressed me–or I should say, Tony Jaa’s fight scenes impressed me, the rest of the movie kinda sucked.

Now that Jackie Chan is getting on in years, it’s a great time for someone like Tony Jaa to make his move. Maybe THIS movie will help break him in to the Hollywood baddie market…
