What is this going to be like a comedy? Cuz although that show was before my time, I think it was meant to be pretty serious. Either way I am totally over all the stupid revivals that are going on these days. Footloose wtf? And now some tv show that wasn't even good.

I hate slapstick remakes, but if they do something intelligent and get Peter DeLuise in on this early, it stands a chance to be really really good. His work on Stargate: SG-1 shows that he's a good director, has a good eye, and he's still absolutely hilarious. His serious writing has been pretty good too.

But the route they took for the remake of Starsky and Hutch and Bewitched I think are just tragic and should have been left in the past.

I for one dont understand why the industry lets just anybody take a beloved tv classic and turn it into compost.

They turned Dukes of Hazzard into another version of the beverly hilbillies, they made The Brady Bunch look like “valley girl” airheads.

The only classics they didnt make into cow manuer were cartoons like Underdog and Alvin and the chipmunks.

Why dont they give projects like Jump Street to people who wont have it seem as if you wasted good money on a 10 cent cinema.
Someone like Paul Baxely, now theres a guy who can make comedy and Action adventure mesh !.

Ive seen previews from this "Hill" and from what i can tell,if they let this guy do Jump Street then its gonna be another million dollars into the out house.

How is Hill gonna work on a film involving Political issues, he doesnt seem like the kind of guy whod take these topics seriously !!!.

Was Jonah Hill like 9 years old for the original broadcasts of 21 Jumpstreet? That could have some impact on why he or any other 20 something person would think that was a hot property worthy of adaptation.

As with anything, you never know, Jonah could hit on the right tone, and it could be good. This wouldn't automatically make my list of top 200 most anticipated upcoming movies though.
