Robinson, and as a TV movie in 1993 with Charles Bronson(!) Bad casting in both cases, but both were at least nominally based on the Jack London novel (London, of course, is best known for “Call of Wild”). I imagine this is an attempt to ride the coat-tails of the “Pirates” trilogy and “Master and Commander”
