Yeah, this film has zero similarity to Terror Train at all. Unless you think “The Love Boat” is the same thing as “The Poseidon Adventure”, since they both have boats in them.

No way. The 1st (newer) poster is awesome. Mysterious sort of and scarey. The other one is just basic…bleh. Train with blood on walls. The hooks are kewl and the way it kinda resembles the place where they store big meat slabs but the first one is still better. My only complaint is I have no idea what he is holding in his hand.

Hey Mark,

I’m ALWAYS sceptical of any general positive thing an actor or director says about a film they’re currently involved with… because to sy good things about it is their job… however…

I generally give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to specifics. So is Barker says “This film is great”, I’m sceptical until I can hear his opinion about it later after the film is out of theaters… but if he specifically says “This is the best film based on my work ever done, including anything I’ve directed myself”, then I believe that’s his opinion. I might end up disagreeing with his opinion after I see the movie… but I trust that’s his opinion.

It’s based on Barker’s short story by the same name, he was also on set for production, and at the press conference at Comic-Con he personally called the very best movie adapted from his material, including the ones he’s directed himself.

This sounds horrible – what capacity was Clive Barker involved? Is this based on a short story or did he come up with the original screenplay?

I like Kitamura. This could be really good. Hopefully Barker keeps him reined in a little bit though. Some of his stuff is way overlong (Alive, Versus).
