Man I feel like I was just getting to know his work. I have enjoyed seeing him in everything I have seen him IN. My favourite (Although Sexy Beast is pretty good) HAS to be The Proposition. That movie totally took me by surprise.

Maybe he’s giving up the big budget flicks, I seriously doubt he’ll give up the dramas and smaller movies he’s especially famous for over here in the UK.

I’d certainly miss him, If i’m channel flicking and see good ol’ Ray, its usually worth sticking to that channel.

And Sexy Beast is a must see for any new Ray fans.

Weird, I went over to imdb.com to check out Winstone’s profile and he has at least 4-5 more movies coming out till 2009 so maybe he’s words were taken out of context here.

i read yesterday that he is signed on to star in sean connery’s son’s ghost movie, set during a war or something. so i wouldnt read too much into this.

Humm that weird. I’d never heard of Ray Winstone until recently and really liked watching him in the Departed, the Proposition, and Beowulf. I like him.

Yeah, yeah…..this is some serious bullshit.
Even if Winstone actually said that (which I very much doubt to begin with), he will change his mind when some nice and well-paid offers start pouring in and he thinks of all the nice cars and houses he could buy with it.

Moreso, I doubt that Ray Winstone, who is without a doubt a highly respected and fairly known actor, but certainly not a big star, has earned enough cash to spend the rest of his life in luxury. If he would be 65, I maybe would believe this, but at 50? No way

Look at Christopher Lee. He’s almost 90 and still working.
