its actually one of the few hollywood production that are based on a german book. it is called Tintenherz (Inkheart) and is written by Cornelia Funke

I recently read the book. I was actually quite surprised. It was a good story and it looks like, they are dooing it justice. I hope. After Golden compass, I’m lowering expectations.

Yeah, i saw this trailer last night at the theatre. It looks cheesy but Andy Serkis looks like he’s having a blast and could be a really great villain.

I am so totally torn between that looking like a really cool film (Andy Serkis is really good [see “Deathwatch”], Paul Bettany also good [should have been “Constantine”]) or super-gheeyyyyyyyyyyy (“Get back into that book!”).

Ahhh inner conflict of nerdiness.
