I remember when TV’s had fine tuning and analog controls (no remotes!) In fact I remember when VCR’s frst came out (I am ancient). My first 3D mvie was somethng about a gorilla, but I remember Jaws 3D (it was an awful movie). I have not seen the new 3D effect – what movies will have this?

I think 3d is cool becuse could see all of the special effects on the movie and u could think you are in the movie.

I think right now, people are really digging the technology and i see it as, for something like Beowulf, almost like a 2 hour theme park simulator ride; just pure thrills. But if you think of 3D as a genre, like any other, if the market gets flooded with too much of it, firstly there will be some crap (guarenteed thanks to Dreamworks if you ask me), and there will be some failures. Then studios start to question whether it’s a viable release method anymore.

People will be there for Star Wars 3D though; no question.

It’s a cool idea, but if i am not mistaken you need both eyes to get the 3D-effect. Being almost blind on one eye i hope the future of movies will be 3D only, like James Cameron wants

The Nightmare Before Christmas is an interesting 3D movie. Shit doesn’t pop off the screen, but the effect makes it look like you are in the movie. I had a very good time watching it.

I remember seeing Jaws 3D. Absolutely horrible. The movie was bad and the 3D effect was bad. I also remember seeing another 3D movie at about the same time called “The Destruction of Jared Syn.” I count this as the worst movie experience I have ever had. 3D movies have never impressed me. That is, until I saw “Beowulf.” The effect in this movie blew me away. Very impressive. I will look forward to seeing others in the future. But a good 3D effect cannot cover up for a bad movie.
