Actually, that’s not true. Art of War was not a canadain film. It’s a Warner Bros/Morgan Creek/Armen Ra Films production… all American production companies. They just filmed it in Canada.

Because “they” are a Canadian company and Art of War is one of the biggest Canadian hits of all time. A very bad action movie with an American star will still do better at the box office than a good movie with no-name actors that can’t get booked into any theaters. (If Donald Sutherland is in a movie these days, it might just be Canadian…)

Better yet, screw sequel-itis, give Spike Lee a call. Two of Snipes best films were with Spike.
