Yeah, Rosario Dawson may not have been able to hook up with Zack and Miri Make a Porno, but that doesn’t mean Kevin Smith doesn’t have his eye on other big fish for a part in the film. Word is right now that Smith is wanting to insert Jason Bateman into the film. Our friends over at Cinema Blend give us this:
Well, Ain’t It Cool has a possible insight on who that might be. According to an untested source, Smith is looking at Jason Bateman to play Zack. That’s actually a pretty cool idea. Bateman has really grown his career in recent years with critical successes like “Arrested Development” and outlandish roles like Dodgeball. Seeing him team up with Smith would be very cool.
I’ve got to totally agree. Bateman has become just a pure pleasure to watch on screen. Not only is he great in the larger roles… but he’s juat fantastic at taking smaller ones and making them into something memorable. The bit role in Dodgeball was absolutely hilarious… his small part in Smokin Aces was terrific as is just about everything he does.
This may not be true. But it seems to fit. Let’s wait and see what Smith says about it.
