I love the acting in Hellboy, really did. Casting was great, but not so crazy about the guy with the wind-up thing (forgot his name).

Nope don’t like the poster. Doesn’t show anything to me.

This poster for “Hellboy 2” was released at Comic-Con. They gave them away as early teasers. “Watchmen” did the same thing, using new art in the comic style to advertise the coming movie to comic fans.

I love the look of the poster and I can’t wait to see/hear more about the film.

the joker comment is irrelevant in the thread, but while its here, ill say yes the line is mocking harvey dent but his delivery of the line, ryhtym and intonation are very similar to jack nicholson.

and while he will probably try to avoid the nicholson influence in his portrayal of the joker he has undoubtedly seen it and it would have an effect on him i just hope its a minimal one.

They didn’t need the triangle, but I actually enjoyed the love story with HB and Liz a LOT, and I usually hate it when they do that shit in action flicks. It made for some of the funniest stuff in the movie for me.

Hellboy can go to hell, for all i care.

I heard John mention that Heath Ledger’s joker sounds like Nicholson. It sounds nothing like Nicholson. The part where he says “I’m a man of my word” That’s where a lot of people say “Yup its Nicholson” NO IT ISNT. He’s mocking Harvey Dent when he says that line, hence the emphasis on it. These great actors would never look to a previous performance for inspiration. They’ve all respectfully ignored that past films; THIS IS SOMETHING FRESH!

If Del Toro could pull off a Hellboy that even approached half the intensity and suspense of Pan’s Labyrinth then I could excited. In order to make Hellboy palatable and profitable as a movie, I don’t see that happening.
