We get official word today about the title for Indiana Jones 4. It is Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods, we get the scoop and following news from cinematical:
In an article which talks about Sean Connery turning down a role in the fourth Indiana Jones film, the Guardian mentions that the official working title of the flick is Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods. This backs up a ton of rumors that have been swirling around lately, all of which have been suggesting that same title.
Not only that, but the Las Cruces Sun-News reports Indy 4 will be shooting some scenes in Deming, New Mexico, with some parts outside Deming being dressed up to pass as Morocco. Additionally, a building located at the former air strip in Deming has been painted blue, with a USAF insignia and “Home Of The Fighter Pilot” painted on an outside wall.
I like the title, it fits with the other films and evokes curiosity about the city that they speak of. I hope a large portion of the film is spent lurking around a hidden city, like a Dungeon crawl. News about this film will now start to leak on a day to day basis and I am interested to learn about what type of caper Indy will face this time around. Indiana Jones is a fantastic character and I hope the wait for Indy 4 will be rewarded with a quality picture.
