It looks like Jeff Bridges will star alongside Kirsten Dunst and Simon Pegg in “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.” We get the news from the caves of Yahoo:
British journalist Young’s memoirs explore the period when he moved to New York to work at Vanity Fair while looking for love.
Producer Stephen Woolley said inking Bridges to play Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter for the Robert B. Weide-directed adaptation of Toby Young’s comic novel was key to his plans for it. He said securing Bridges had been a long labor of love because of scheduling conflicts.
This is great news for the project. From The Big Lebowski to Seabiscuit, Bridges rules his roles. I just certainly hope his love interest is not Kirsten Dunst, because she does not do them well. She kisses people with the passion of a freshly dead corpse.
Jeff Bridges is the type of man you want in your life. This is why he is so good on the silver screen, he is like a kind uncle that gives you tremendous Christmas gifts – and when you see him, you consider him “the bringer of great joy.” I certainly had no interest in seeing this movie without Bridges, with Bridges on board I will now cautiously consider it against my better judgment.
