We have to understand that the cloud could just be PURE POWER COSMIC controlled by an omnipotent and omniscient mind called Galactus. And as you surely know, what we can see of Galactus in the classic Marvel Universe isn’t his true aspect, but just an avatar adopted by the Devourer to be “seen” by earthlings, as He gets a different aspect according to the race He is going to devour. That’s why I think that this movie had the right concept for the character, removing from it all those stupid aspects link’d to that “robot-like” giant, whose look is too similar to X-Men Sentinels. That’s my opinion, folks!

1. Fox is doing this to atract people other than geeks. Like the first film I would think attracted tons of kids and normal people, so maybe they dont give a rats flying @$$ about the real comic book franchise and are trying to just rake in the cash by attracting even more regula schmoes.

Either way their being bastards by doing this to us. Giving us a peice of crap {even though we didnt accpect much} for a cool comic book character, or making as piss are pants by THINKING hes a fratzing cloud!

Galactus can take on other forms.
In the comics, he appears different to every life-form.

On Earth, he looks like a giant human. On Alpha Centauri, he would look like a giant Alpha-Centaurian. And so on…

I, myself, am still holding out hope that the cloud is just his “essence”, as others have said, and we get to see his true form (be it Ultimate or Classic, although I would prefer the Ultimate) in the Silver Surfer movie. (if that does indeed ever happen)

Either way, like I said before, I still think it’ll be a fun movie.
I’m not a fanatic purist or an impossible to please fanboy, so I thought the first one was Ok.
