DiCaprio In Talks For Body Of Lies

News out today about a possible project with Leo and Ridley. The film is to be based on the book “Body Of Lies” The secrets are delivered from our informants at Variety:

Leonardo DiCaprio is in early talks to star in Warner Bros.’ adaptation of the new David Ignatius novel, “Body of Lies.” Ridley Scott will direct the project, which reunites DiCaprio with screenwriter William Monahan, Oscar-winning writer of “The Departed.” DiCaprio will play an ex-journalist-turned CIA agent who’s sent to Amman to work with Jordan’s intelligence chief to track an Al Qaeda leader rumored to be planning attacks against America.

I am not a huge fan of movies that involve CIA agents, but everyone is always very well dressed in movies where you have a lot of them. Movies with CIA agents should be sponsored by menswear designers; but enough on that. I am a fan of the Leo, he is a very talented dude and after Catch Me If You Can I moved him up a notch on my list, It will be interesting to see what Ridley does with him. Mr. Scott is hit and miss with me. I can never trust him, but know that I enjoy some of his work greatly – so I reserve excitement, but if I love the film I am never surprised. It is like dating someone that is bipolar good days are great, bad days are bad, bad, bad.

But for those of you that love C.I.A drama with well dressed handsome men as directed by Ridley Scott – this is certainly a fantastic news day!

  1. John.

    Warning smidge off topic:

Is Ridley Scott’s “Final Cut” edition aka 25th anniversary of Blade Runner, still coming out this year around September? It’s supposed to have 3 versions of the film. Theater, Directors cut, and Final cut, with extra footage.

I’ve been waiting so long for confirmation of my personnal white whale.

    Thank you.
