Benchwarmers Not Shown To Critics

GASP! SHOCK! Surprise Surprise!!!! Looks like the studio decided not to let critics see an advance screening of the new David Spade, Rob Schneider and Jon Heder film “The Benchwarmers” so it could get reviewed before people put their money out.

The studio knows the film sucks in advance, so they don’t let anyone review it before opening weekend, because they know the reviews will all be negative and want to get as much money as they can (which is underhanded… but smart, because it works).

In this article, the studios basically admit that’s their strategy. If they know their movie sucks, they don’t show it to critics. It shouldn’t surprise any of us that a movie with Rob Schneider falls under this category.

As a side note… remember when Rob Schneider tried to get into an intellectual debate with a film critic, and Roger Ebert stepped in and kicked the living intellectual shit out of him??? That was the best moment ever. (you can see that mental beating over here… it’s TOTAL GOLD!)
