Best movie: 40 Year Old Virgin – John i agree with you, this movie was friggin’ hilarious. Batman Begins was OK too, though.

Best performance: Steve Carell, 40 Year Old Virgin

Best comdedic performance: Steve Carell, 40 Year Old Virgin

Best on-screen team: Same as John’s i just cant be stuffed typing it all out.

Best villian: Tobin Bell, Saw 2 – theres something about that guy that creeps me out. Maybe it’s his evil, conniving facial expressions, or maybe it’s because he tortures people as a hobby.

Breakthrough performance: I wasn’t struck on any of those, but if i had to pick one, id probably say Nelly in the longest yard. The movie still sucked though.

Best hero: Christian Bale, Batman Begins

Sexiest performance: Jessica Simpson, dukes of hazzard. the movie sucked worse than a two dollar hooker, but anyone who thinks Jessica Simpson wasn’t hot in it is either gay, or blind. John, are you sure you didnt slip Rob Schneider in yourself? :P

Best fight: Brad Pitt, angelina jolie. The idea of a husband and wife beating the shit out of each other is brilliant to me. Did you know Brad Pitt once did a stunt on Jackass??

Best kiss: Pitt, Jolie. …and straight AFTER beating the shit out of each other, they have sex thats almost as violent as their fight scene.

Best frightened performance: Dakota Fanning, war of the worlds. To me, she stole the limelight from Tom Cruise (God forbid). I just think shes the best child actor since, well, ever. But i must say if i had of watched Hostel, i probably wouldve said Derek Richardson as well.

Not a bad list.

Little known fact-MTV is owned by Viacom, which is owned by Paramount Pictures. That show is nothing more than a long commercial for Paramount’s movies. How else do you explain Napoleon Dynamite, a PARAMOUNT movie, winning for Best Movie last year? That movie is a piece of SHIT! Look and see how many Paramount movies are nominated and how many will win. A large number, I bet. They want them to win so the kids will go out and buy the DVDs and make them some money.

Follow up note: there is no Best MovieSong, yet it is MTV. Betcha they”ll give an invite to the 3 6 Mafia. Miles & Llyo : about H & F…I thought Terrance Howard was great. It also had a bit of realism, simply due that there are a few gangsta rappers -such as the late Biggie Smalls (Notorius BIG) who had come from a drug dealing/hustling/pimp lifestyle.

However, a good chunk of H & F was a bit of a disappointment: the Anthony Andersen character. Are we to believe that a staunch believer in Christianity, let alone a Baptist minister of music/chior director and says to DJ and his “girls” to ‘Watch your language/manners’ =”Respect My House”….and then all of a sudden indulge in hard gangsta rap with the common use of the n word? Then the guy’s neglected wife- a stronger religious woman- suddenly caves in and makes everyone a meal? Please!

When these elements were introduced in the film when I saw it, I thought the film was going to be really great, as there would be a character contrast. Nope. The most notable of drama and conflict was never used. It was discarded. That said, Howard still gave a really good performance. As for the tunes, why I did root for Hard Out Here For A Pimp, I liked Whoop That Trick a lot better.

i didn’t even bother watching the 50 cent movie. could it be worsethen hustle and flow? possibly.

truth be told, i would probably like it more. because, even though i hate 50 cent i am sure his movie knows it is bad and is at least marginally entertaining. the problem with hustle and flow is that it thought it was good, and it really tried to be….when in reality every single thing about it was fucking poison.

Sigh, with everyday that passes I drift mroe and mroe from MTV’s target audience, so I will base my pics not on opinion, but on what MTV “thinks” will appeal to there tween/teen audience wants, plus MTV is extremely liberal, so they will be all over the homo stuff, they like to pretend they step-up where the Oscars let all of us misunderstood youth down.

I like seeing ‘Batman Begins’, ‘Sin City’, and ‘King Kong’ fight over ‘MTV’s Best Movie’, but like last year, It may end up on ’40-Year Old Virgin’. Chritian Bale for ‘Best Hero’. Tilda Swinton for ‘Best Villain’. I think Liam Neeson (Batman Begins) wasn’t involved because he is the “mysterious villain” for the movie, and they don’t want to spoil the movie, despite the fact that the movie has been out for some time (IMO).
