Check out the movie “Gangster Number 1.” Bettany plays a young version of “A Clockwork Orange’s” Malcolm MacDowell, and he’s basically a less poetic version of Alex from CO. He plays a perfect kind of criminal insanity, and as far as I’m concerned, that’s exactly what the Joker needs to be.

I don’t know anything about the other guy, but if they have any sense they’ll grab Bettany, or Glover. They’d both be good.

I don’t see Bettany taking the role. He’s vile, evil, but doesn’t come off as a joker type to me.

He looks the role too.

Though my first choice would be Sean Penn, I just don’t see him doing it.

Until Nolan signs up for sure… there will be ZERO casting done for important roles. And rest assured… whoever Nolan wants for The Joker… Nolan will get.
