Everytime Avi Arad speaks he drops hints and surprises at every turn, and this story from Dark Horizons is no different. If you wish to remain ignorant, please avert your gaze now, although to be fair there’s nothing concrete in here, but some possibles especially for X-Men:
The Fantastic Four 2: Arad confirmed that all the cast are signed for a sequel, and that he likes the idea of bringing The Puppet Master in as the rogue for the next bout. “Puppet Master’s a great character”
The Silver Surfer: “I think you’re going to see a very interesting movie about the man who fell to earth kind-of-a-thing”, says Arad. “It has biblical elements to it about who we are to him, what is he to us. We’re suspicious when someone like that arrives here”.
X-Men 3: That online script that was reviewed, says Arad, was something “verbally passed on. It wasn’t even a script”…”I tell you what really pisses me off about this stuff – is the ignorance to the comics, because if you know the comics at all, OK, lot of our leaders of the X-Men died and came back in one form or another.
Arad hints that Patrick Stewart’s character, Xavier, may die in the movie. “He died [in the comic]. One of the most famous panels in the comic was his funeral. They all die and come back. We don’t kill anyone just for the hell of it – [only] if it works for the story”.
Interesting stuff. There’s nothing to say that Xavier is in trouble in the movie, and to be quite frank would Arad tell all before the movie was out? I don’t think so. You might find it’s out of context or just him talking of the original material. Still, it does show that they aren’t scared to play around with the franchise. Is it a good thing?
The new x-men is gonna be the worst pos ever. If i wanted something with comedy i would freakin watch the fantastic four, or spider-man2, or dardevil, or the hulk,or electra,or the punisher. Thankyou Bret retard for ruining the only thing noteworthy in this life. Your shitty jokes will be sure to to downgrade the new x-men movie to a hollowed out action shitflick.
You have destroyed the franchise and have not even made the movie.Thanks to you this will now be as BAD as RUSH HOUR1 OR 2,because i know it will never end with that horrible audience humor crap. Knowing this i have seen the 3rd x-men and already and i just wanted to say thankyou to the braindead people at marvel who chose the writer and director, you have killed my interest in comics.
