A lot of the artwork and CGI looks the same (ie all the EOA ship designs). The trailer for the game is on the CD of the 1st edition of Win 95 (the upgrade I think). What I can’t tell you is which came first the Movie or the Game.

But instead of actually doing any research myself, I watched the great Anime Mini-Series Blue Submarine 6, which reminded me a lot of some of the work in the trailer.
