The Movie Blog is (are you ready for this?) a blog about movies. In 2001 I began blogging (keeping a web based journal where I would share my experiences, thoughts, opinions and interesting links with people). I realized that more and more I was posting thoughts about film… so in 2003 I started up The Movie Blog. It’s just that simple.
This is not a news site per se (although you’ll get a lot of news here), but rather a place to give thoughts and opinions on movies and movie news. A pundit site if you will for the Movie Industry.
Currently, I blog from my hometown of Hamilton, Ontario Canada (about 45 minutes from Toronto) serving in my capacity as Exalted Grand Imperial Poh-Bah and High Lord of Being Sexy (that title was hard to get on the business card).

John is the Editor of The Movie Blog. Former Client Services Director/Producer Wannabe of Satellite Studios (Visual Effects and 3D animation Studio which worked on films like Sin City, Spy Kids 2, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and The One).
Doug Nagy
Doug Nagy is a stand up comedian that can be seen in comedy clubs across the universe. Doug has been the co-host of The Movie Blog’s podcast since day one and has hosted the show on a number of occasions in John’s absence. Doug’s unique brand of humor has become a defining element of the podcast and one of the funniest voices on the internet. Doug also hosts his own podcast “Nagical Radio” which can be hear on his blog at DougNagy.Com.
Rodney Brazeau
Many moons ago Rodney Brazeau was one of the original contributing authors of The Movie Blog back in its inception and is now back. Rodney’s understanding and knowledge of the comic book universe gives him a great insight into the world of Comic Book/Sci-Fi/Fantasy film that he brings to his posts every day. Rodney is also the Author of the Link West Role Playing Game system as well as a module creator for D20 RPG systems.
Dan Crook
What can we say? Dan just rules! Dan has helped shape the look of The Movie Blog over the last few months from his introduction as cover designer for John Campea’s film Prince of Peace God of War. A designer with over 12 years experience of working in media graphics and he has grown a rather unhealthy habit of listening to too much thrash.
Darren Conley
Darren was the first person to join John and Doug on The Movie Blog Podcast. His impact was immediate and his chemistry with the other guys was undeniable. Darren brings an analytical and balanced frame of mind to the podcast discussions that John and Doug quite frankly aren’t capable of. Darren is a world traveler and Linguist by training. Also the damn biggest Babylon 5 fan the world has ever known.
Bruxy Cavey
Bruxy Cavey has brought a whole new dimension to the podcast team. He is not only an avid movie fan, but also the Pastor of one of Canada’s largest churches (The Meeting House) and author of the book “The End of Religion”. Bruxy is quickly becoming one of North America’s most recognizable and influential religious leaders… and he DJ’s dances on the side (no I’m not kidding). He also has enough brain power to kill us all with a single thought. The dynamic he brings to the round table crew makes us the most diverse group you’ll probably find on the internet.
