THE COMEDIAN:

I really enjoyed this movie. Robert De Niro stars as an aged comic Jackie Burke that’s attempting to reinvent himself in today’s world. Along the road to a comeback he meets an unassuming woman played by Leslie Mann that challenges him and they form a bond together. I really enjoyed the story and the inside look on what it’s like to be a famed former entertainer attempting to make it work in today’s world. The on-screen chemistry between De Niro and Mann was surprisingly very good and fitting. Some really cool supporting roles and cameos by the likes of Danny DeVito, Billy Crystal, Cloris Leachman, Edie Falco and Harvey Keitel. This is a really fun comedy with a sweet side to it. I liked De Niro in this role and the movie. Check it out.
