Over the weekend the fine folks from Tamashii Nations Japan made a stop in New York City as part of their world tour. I happened to have a few free hours in my weekend and stopped by to what it was all about. The event itself is a toy show devoted to figures based on, tygpically, anime so I wasn’t fully expecting to see something from Pacific Rim 2 but I’m not entirely surprise either. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you our first look at what will likely be Jon Boyega’s Jaeger “Gipsy Avenger”:
As you’ll notice in the first image we get a good idea of what weapons will be utilized by the new Jaeger and an idea of its offensive capabilities. I’m more interested in the story and how the heck these friggin Kaiju’s came back to earth in the first place.
That being said, I am really looking forward to this movie and this was a neat surprise. I’ll keep an eye out for more shows in the NYC in the event I stumble across any more gems for you guys. You can check out more images from the show over on our Facebook page.
