Originally I had this movie confused with the upcoming movie The Wall, which has a similar theme of soldier trapped in the desert. Mine stars Armie Hammer as a soldier on the brink of death that’s stranded in the desert and having to overcome physical and mental challenges. While this is a war movie by the theme of it, in reality it’s a film about survival, along the likes of 127 Hours and Buried. It is an intense thriller that will keep you on your toes (no pun intended). Hammer does a great job of depicting the struggles that his character is forced to deal with and overcome, and there is a lot throw his way. The majority of the story takes place in one location, but the obstacles offer plenty of intrigue for the viewer to stay engaged.
Mine is available now On Demand and coming to to Blu-ray and DVD on June 13
