I love Ethan Hawke, I just don’t love all of his movies. He has a new film releasing soon that seems itneresting but I’m totally undecided on how I feel about this movie.

Trailer: Born to be Blue
I hate to be picky and critical, but I’m a musician, and I HATE watching movies where an actor is faking the playing of a musical instrument. It’s highly annoying to see it. When someone plays piano, that is easier to to fake with strategic camera angles and close-ups with other people playing, but when it’s a trumpet (and other wind and string instruments), it’s painful to watch. Hopefully, the other aspects of the movie will give it some merit.
