I like Elizabeth Banks. A lot. She’s a great actor and does really well in both dramatic and comedic films and I tend to feel a sense of calm and relief when I see that she’s cast in any movie that I have an interest in watching. I’m not quite sure where the filmmakers are going with this Power Rangers film but we get our first look at Elizabeth Banks as Scorpina Rita Repulsa today:
That’s a very different Rita. I suppose it was inevitable that the character received a makeover but I have to admit that she hardly seems like a space witch. She seems more like a subordinate than the HWIC.
I sort of like the look but I’m not really satisfied with the design. I’ll hold off further judgment until we see more but this is a very unexpected start.
