THE SEA OF TREES

Matthew McConaughey and Naomi Watts are lost in the forest—no really. McConaughey plays a professor that travels to Japan to discover himself. He enters a mysterious forest where he encounters a woman (Watts). Together they go on a life altering journey of self-discovery. There was a movie earlier this year that I recommended called The Forest that had Americans lost in a forest in Japan, thought that one was a horror and this one is a drama. The fine actors and a solid story equals The Sea of Trees. I enjoyed the exploration of friendship, feelings and survival the characters embark on. An under-the-radar movie that is worth your time.

The Sea of Trees is out now on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD and On Demand
