Donald Glover is on a roll!
From getting roles in movies like Spider-Man: Homecoming, to producing, starring and writing his own hit television series ‘Atlanta‘, it seems Donald Glover is becoming one of the best musicians to transition to Hollywood in years.
According to StarWars.com, Donald Glover will be officially portraying Han Solo’s old friend Lando Calrissian who was originally played by Billy Dee Williams in the original Star Wars trilogy.
For those of you that don’t know, Lando Calrissian was Han Solo’s old and (probably) best friend as Han Solo was known for having a past full of danger and crime.
The Millennium Falcon owner is set to be played by Alden Ehrenreich as the Han Solo spin off movie is expected for a 2018 release.
Fans will be more than pleased with this Han Solo news as Donald Glover was rumored and fan cast (many times) for the Lando Calrissian role ever since the movies announcement several months ago.
Not only does Donald Glover have the identical looks of a younger Lando Calrissian but the rising actor will bring in major audiences from his stardom alone.
While many fans have been skeptical of another Star Wars spin-off I think fans will change their mind once they see a trailer full of one of the best character in cinematic history.
From dangerous adventures, to barely making it out alive, a younger Han Solo movie looks to bring even more of that classic asshole character that we all enjoyed.
