This Victor Frankenstein trailer is missing something

Laughs. It’s missing the laughs. this trailer has a few moments in which they try to mimic this popular art form formally referred to as “comedy” but the intended “jokes” just don’t seem to achieve the intended “response”. The reason? It’s too f’n stiff. It makes me wonder why comedians weren’t cast in these roles instead of Professor X and “The boy who lived”.

Plus, why Frankenstein? Mary Shelly’s creation hasn’t felt the love from the box office in a very long time, so I’m surprised to see this character returning to the theater yet again. The trailer gives me the impression that this movie might get a chance while I channel surf while high but I don’t see myself leaving my house to see this.

Maybe it’s me.
