Top Movies To Watch Out For This Summer!

 

The famed summer blockbuster trend looks set to continue in the summer of 2013 with an abundance of big movies, starring some of the biggest names around, set to be released later this year. With recent technological boosts it’s clear that these films will contain some of the best graphics and visual effects around for our time and for those of you sitting at home, enjoying your favorite Blu Ray movies, I suggest that you consider purchasing a movie theater ticket this summer and treating yourself to any one of these highly anticipated blockbusters:
 

With the promise of crisp, succinct visuals (again, a perfect choice for you if you’re constantly sat at home enjoying your favorite Blu Ray movies, Man Of Steel looks set to be an absolute smash at the box office. Produced by Batman’s Christopher Nolan, Man Of Steel sees Henry Cavill step into the iconic role of Superman. With a much darker tone established, this exciting reboot is sure to change the Superman legend.

 
 

Robert Downey Jr. will continue to shine in Iron Man 3, following on from the success of the franchise’s previous two offerings. With added talents such as Sir Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce, Iron Man 3 is gearing up to be another strong showing for everyone’s favorite Avenger. The film will have Tony Stark, played by Downey Jr, constantly question himself and his famed suit whilst fighting off a plethora of powerful enemies.

 

Based on the graphic novel of the same name, World War Z is yet another post-apocalyptic adaption featuring a viral outbreak which has transformed the population into zombies. Brad Pitt heads this impressive-looking feature up and plays a scientist seeking a genetic cure which can prevent the world from descending into terror and anarchy. The film has undergone much in the way of post-production edits and should be finally ready by July.

 
 

With director J.J. Abrams’ new-found popularity, his rebooted Star Trek franchise will continue with Star Trek Into Darkness. Featuring the original cast, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, the fleet face a terrible new foe in the shape of British baddie Benedict Cumberbatch, who steps into a mysterious new role, sure to generate much discussion between Trekkies and movie-fans alike.

 

Finally, Leonardo Di Caprio continues his strong recent film run with The Great Gatsby, already heralded as a strong Academy Award possibility with trailers depicting a wondrous world, doing full justice to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s acclaimed novel. Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the film follows the life of Di Caprio’s Jay Gatsby and his time at the height of his power in the 1920s. The film also features Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan and Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway, Gatsby’s neighbor and narrator in the original story.
