Immediately all those long forgotten fantasies, hope, fan fiction, and rumors have credibility again after decades of disappointment on the handling of the franchise and its characters that now the reigns can be put in the hands of a talented team to rejuvenate the franchise. Amazing. What will happen in Episode 7? Who will return? Luke? Bobba Fett? C-3PO? How about we make a bet? Seriously? EPISODE VII – A NEW HOPE FOR STAR WARS FANS
(31 October 2012) With Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm paving the way for a new wave of Star Wars films Paddy Power are now taking bets on which of the series’ characters will appear in Episode VII.
Unsurprisingly the saga’s ubiquitous double act, C-3PO and R2-D2, are considered shoo-ins for a part in Episode VII at odds of 1/33. Jedi Master Yoda, although having died at the tender age of 900, is also expected to return. Likewise, despite a seemingly fatal trip into a sarlacc’s mouth on the desert planet Tatooine in Eposide VI, galactic bounty hunter Boba Fett is also very likely to appear at odds of 1/4.
Luke Skywalker is the shortest priced principal character from the Episodes IV-VI at 2/5 followed by Obi Wan and Chewbacca at 5/4 while both Princess Leia and Han Solo are available at 6/4.
Despite having died towards the end of ‘Return of the Jedi’ Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is 7/2 to feature with fellow daisy pushers Palpatine and Admiral Piett also in the betting at odds of 4/1 and 40/1 respectively.
A spokesperson from Paddy Power said “Episode VII will presumably start from a blank canvas so it will be interesting to see which of the franchises iconic characters will be deemed right by Disney to engage a whole new generation of sci-fi fans.”

they should do one of the older characters that predates the original saga, whole new characters and threat, because we all know that the Sith is destroyed and balance has been brought back to the force. i’d like to see one where the Sith “religion” comes into fruition, the discovery of the dark side.
