6 gorgeous new shots from Oz, The Great and Powerful

Oz the Great and Powerful has made quite the impression in a brief amount of time thanks to the beautiful trailer that we had the pleasure of watching a few days ago and the fact that it stars James Franco and Mila Kunis, which are increasing their star power by the second. Today we have some stunning new shots from the film showing us the wonder world of oz in all its CGI-filled glory:

Gorgeous shots and everything seen the last few days have placed this film fairly high on my radar. I was pretty bummed when RDJ had to move away from this role but I’m finding an unexpected amount of comfort with Franco in the role. The film seems like more youthful now.

  1. I agree I was a little disappointed with the amount of CGI, part of the beauty of Victor Fleming’s Oz was the sets. However, the trailer did make me excited to see the film

  2. I completely agree with you dRadnev. When I saw the trailer all I could think was, “Oh God, NO!! Not another Alice in Wonderland CGI fest!”It’s just too much. Visually as I watched the trailer all I could see were the environments and not the actors or even the special effects. It all just melted together into a big visual mess. Hope I’m wrong but I sat there and cringed through the ENTIRE alice in Wonderland movie and I’m afraid to waste my money seeing this in a theatre if it’s going to be similar.

  3. In my opinion – too much CGI. They should use it only as a tool and only when it is absolutely necessary, not in every mthrfckng scene that is in the movie. Let’s hope I’m wrong and the movie is good!
