Trailer: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D

It looks like “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” franchise will be getting closer to the “Halloween” franchise’s sequel record with the release of its seventh film, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D.” The film is slated for release in 2013, check out the trailer below.

When horror films dive into the 3D realm you can usually expect a bad plot with a bunch of campy 3D moments filled with blood and gore coming at your face. “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” films have always been a little creepier than other horror films because of the sadistic nature of the people. I think adding the 3D element will tremendously reduce the eerie feel that has been associated with the franchise and replace it with an almost humorous scare factor. I am predicting this to be the worst of the sequels, possibly surpassing the God awful, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation” with Matthew McConaughey.

About Ryan

First and foremost, Ryan Brown is a fan. He has been an avid fan of both the theater and cinema since an early age and his passion for both has been continually growing ever since. When dissecting a film, he focuses on all elements of film-making including some fan/cult factors. He believes that character development is the foundation of a good film and usually starts his analysis of a film from there moving forward. His writing style may be influenced by his background of narrative and argumentative studies in the subject, but he tends to enjoy a more conversational style to better interact with the readers, unlike some other pretentious and pompous writers.
