Wait, what? Evil Dead has wrapped principle photography!

I can admit that I’d been pretty distracted lately considering that I only discovered the logo for Evil Dead about a week ago but I had no idea I was this far off and hadn’t acknowledged the fact that not only did the Evil Dead remake start production, but new reports are saying that they’ve wrapped up principle photography on the film!

The film has wrapped, post-production is set to begin, and now all we have to do is wait patiently for the film Sam Raimi calls“intense, scary, and gut-wrenching.

Ghost House Pictures is producing the much anticipated remake of Sam Raimi’s 1981 cult-hit horror film The Evil Dead, the film that effectively launched the careers of Sam Raimi (Spider-Manfranchise, Darkman, Drag Me to Hell), Rob Tapert (30 Days of Night), and Bruce Campbell, who played the Ash character and was co-producer of the original

I’ve been pretty lax with the idea of posting about the various stages of production with some films but this is one that should have been an exception. I’m kicking myself for overlooking these details and you should all line up to give a punt as well. But this is good news! With them working on post production we should begin seeing unmistakable photos and clips for this film sooner rather than later. Anyone else excited about the idea of another Evil Dead?
