Needless to say we won’t be seeing Chuck Norris’ participation in this particular film. Aside from that, why hasn’t this project died yet? Sure I was semi interested in more Terminators a few yrs ago but then they went and McG’d any interest from me for this franchise. And it’s not like Governator is getting any younger either. Seriously, do we really need another Terminator movie? Probably not, but the last movie made over $370 million on a $200 million budget. They don’t care what we need.

I would really be interested in a sequel taking place shortly (or a while) after Salvation. I loved Terminator Salvation just as much as the other three movies. It had its flaws, sure, but it was, in its own way, faithful to the previous movies, and the casting choices were amazing. So, I would like to see a movie with John Connor – played by Christian Bale – continuing to lead the Resistance rather than a movie about Schwarzenegger’s character. He was funny and awesome and all, but I think three movies it quite enough. But John Connor is supposed to be the key point to saving the world and everything, and he’s barely been explored, before Salvation, I mean. So another movie with him as the main character would be great. Sure, Schwarzenegger could be in it, too, that could be interesting, I guess, but let’s not go down the same road as in the first few movies. That’s done, already. Kate Connor – played by Bryce Dallas Howard – was pregnant in Salvation. That alone could be an idea for a great plot for the movie. Just my opinion, of course.
Yep, another franchise that has been taken well past its expiration date. Let it die. already.
I’d say give the rights back to James Cameron and maybe he’ll delegate the directorial duties to someone else, just like Chris Nolan picking Zack Snyder to direct the Man of Steel flick.
For the Arnold T-800, just mo-cap it ala Avatar and we’ll have a younger Arnold onscreen.
Hmm the last time a Terminator movie was R-rated it was Terminator 2: Judgment Day, so that’s cool. Then they had Terminator Salvation to round out the trilogy, which was PG-13, but it wasn’t a big deal. Salvation was a lot of fun, another in the line of great sci-fi movies that came out in 2009. Seems… so long ago…
I agree with Kevin C. I liked Terminator: Salvation as well, and I really liked the universe that McG and Christian Bale worked at to bring us. I really would rather see a sequel to Terminator: Salvation with Christian Bale reprising his role as John Connor instead of getting Schwarzeneggar back. (Face it, Schwarzeneggar is just getting too old to be a mindless killing android anymore.)
I liked Terminator: Salvation. Sure it had flaws, but it was a departure from the formulaic drivel that was Terminator: Rise of the Machines. I was interested to see where the story would go with John Connor leading the resistance and the eventual development of time travel…
If they go back to the whole “two machines go back in time” thing, meh. Either give me something new or leave it alone.
