I love Jason Segel and I will never be able to get enough of Amy Adams real life Disney Princess charm. So seeing this trailer for what looks like a light romantic film with them is even more awesome when it turns into a Muppet Movie trailer.
I love when the voice over hesitates on Kermit… the .. Frog?
Originally this was going to be called “The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made” but it looks like they have decided to go short and classy with the simple “The Muppets” title instead.
This looks like it has all the charm of the previous Muppet films with all the self depricating humour and gag antics, with an updated look and feel. This trailer was a great first look at what to expect.

Very sly twist to transform what appears at first to be just a typical romantic comedy into a long-awaited muppets reunion. Amy Adams is so versatile and whimsical, and certainly well-suited for this role. Jason Segel seemed slated for a leading role in a muppet film since his role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, where his character produced a Count von Count-esque dracula puppet musical. Not to mention the fact that he, along with the director of that movie, co-wrote the storyline for this one. Just thought I’d draw the connections.
The film will also feature Emily Blunt and Jack Black (who starred alongside Segel in Guilliver`s Travels), Blunt`s real-life husband John Krasinski (The Office, It`s Complicated, Something Borrowed), Zach Galifianikis and Ed Helms(The Hangover), Ricky Gervais, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, and the voice of Brian Henson, son of Jim Henson, the creator of the Muppets.
Adams, Segel, the huge array of cameo appearances and the Muppets themselves, make for a brilliantly colourful cast, and what is sure to be another Muppets classic.
Sometimes watching trailers online takes the fun out of them. Like seeing this in the theaters without knowing what it was would have made this trailer so much better.
Have to say that Adams is the prettiest girl in Hollywood. And Jason belongs in this movie as well. Not a big muppets-fan (live in Sweden, almost never aired here) but this looks like a fun 4:20-movie indeed.
