Megan Fox wants to play Carrie

Remakes are going to happen. It’s not going to stop unless everyone stops buying tickets to them. We can just hope that when they do get made that it gets done right. Now despite Stephen King himself voicing reluctance to a remake of Carrie, even he is holding out to see how it shapes up.

Rumours of Lindsay Lohan in the iconic role of Carrie White have circulated the net, but another actress is sicking her dogs on the role.

Megan Fox.

GeekTyrant shares:

Megan is a huge fan of the original and would love the chance to play the lead. She’s 25 now, but she’s sure she could still do justice to teenage Carrie. She’s told her people to make it happen.

I have yet to see anything with Megan Fox in it where I liked Megan Fox. Oh sure, mutant thumbs makes up for looks in a lot of ways, but it isn’t with stellar thespian talent.

I don’t mind Megan Fox prettying up the arm of some lead, but I honestly cannot see her carrying a movie on her own.

Especially this one. This isn’t schlock horror. Its terror on a mental level. This is no special effects cornsyrup extravaganza.

  1. If there’s going to be a remake, they’ll need someone who can look and, more importantly, ACT the part. Two actresses I can see knocking something like this out of the park are Dakota Fanning and (especially) AnnaSophia Robb.

    1. Actually, for me by the way, Dakota Fanning’s sister (Elle Fanning) is more suited for Carrie, equally very good young actress on her own, as it shown in Somewhere.
Or if they want more older actress, Kirsten Dunst isn’t bad idea either, fresh from her glowing performance on Melancholia. She definitely can act on wide range emotion.

      1. I find your choices puzzling. Elle Fanning is 12. She can’t pass as highschool at all.

Dunst is 30. She doesn’t remotely pass as Highschool anymore.

This is about a girl tormented in highschool. Neither one of your suggestions make sense for this role. Sorry to point that out.

      2. Pushing 25 and still being passable as young is different. Ralph Maccio was 27 when he did Karate Kid.

Neither of the actresses you mentioned could pass for the age Carrie White is supposed to be.

  2. I thought her last entry in the Horror genre fell short (and skimped on the skin too!) and lacked a sense of “Scary”

she better bring her a+ game

  3. If her last couple of movies was any indication, i hope she better stop pursuing a career as an actress altogether…. also, stay away from Carrie. She is not in same level as Sissy Spacek.
Beside, why people keep painting LiLo & Fox for Carrie, their type are on exact opposite of Carrie, they’re more suited as the mean girls.
