Trailer: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

The latest trailer for the new Sherlock Holmes movie was just recently released and shared on the internetz for all of our enjoyment and criticism. Let’s watch:

That’s a much better, longer, and action packed trailer than what was previously released. I like that I’m seeing a lot of the same elements that I enjoyed in the first movie including the cinematography, humor and wit, not to mention the uncomfortably humerous interactions between Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Can’t wait to see this movie when it finally hits theaters this December.

  1. I have pretty high expectations for this film. Robert Downey Jr. is pretty much incredible in whatever role he plays, a prime example his Iron Man movies. I really enjoyed the first film that he did, after I had time to consider it. I’ve always loved the books, and don’t remember him being quite so pugnacious, but the movie rang true to them. It was complicated, fascinating, and had an element of supernatural suspense to it.

I was rather nervous the entire time throughout the first movie as I thought that they were going to break away from the source material. To avoid spoilers, I’m just glad they cleared up the mystery as they did.

As regards this next movie, I’m extremely intrigued that their bringing in Moriarty. He is the Arch-Villain of the Sherlock universe, so I hope they chose well.
