I’m a big Don Cheadle fan. The man takes any role he’s cast in and somehow almost always produces a memorably good performance, and I go out of my way to find out what he’s up to. Today I found the trailer for his “buddy-cop” movie with Brendan Gleeson, let’s watch.

That looks kinda funny. It’s certainly awkward. I’d never thought about it previously but this movie is giving me the impression that the Irish might be a tad racist. Who knew?

Saw the film last night via Netflix rental. 5 stars – 5 for laughs, 5 for story, 5 for the whole cast.

I’m a Cheadle fan, and a Gleeson fan. But if this is really a trailer; meant to give us the glimpse into the film that we need to understand what it’s about and where it’s going, I’m not impressed. I certainly hope there’s more to the film than black jokes followed by awkward pauses.
