TinTin Teaser Trailer Online

I have been skeptical of the broad appeal of TinTin and Peter Jackson/Steven Spielberg’s attempt to adapt the classic character for the big screen.

But now we get our first taste with the teaser for TinTin.

I wont deny the popularity of this character outside of North America and the pocket following it seems to have here, but I am more interested in seeing a CG movie that looks so real with “real” cartoon looking characters.

That’s a tough balance.

We don’t see a lot of the characters themselves here, but there are moments and its possible they have bridged the uncanny gap or “dead eye” look cgi characters seem to have.

The scenery looks amazing, but its the characters that will have to sell this for me.

  1. From what I can say, after seeing the trailer, is that I what I feared came true. The set up as a action movie with bombastic soundtrack opposes a 100% of what Tintin as a comic really is. Smart, intelligent, with a distinguished sense of humor and caracters which are not that easy to describe. Plus the story is patched together of at least 3 different Tintin comic books and the name has nothing to do with its original comic book. Where is the accuracy of Peter Jackson gone? After following the “Lord of the ring” books very carefully, he did nothing like that in here. What I expected has happend. Hollywood fucks it up for good!

    1. i really think live action is the only way to do a serious film
reimagining this trailer as a live action movie would have me sold all the way
