Seth McFarlane rounding out cast of Ted

Last time I checked in on the status of Ted they had just added Giovanni Ribisi to the production in an unspecified role. Today we learn that Jessica Stroup and others have joined in on the production for the forthcoming bears’ antics.

90210 support Jessica Stroup has just joined Seth MacFarlane’s live action movie Ted. She’s just the latest in a series of names to join the project that already includes Mark Wahlberg, Joel McHale, Patrick Warburton, Mila Kunis and Giovani Ribisi. In the film, she’ll play a woman working underneath Joel McHale’s character whose already experienced many of his strange sexual proclivities first hand, much to the amusement of her co-worker played by Mila Kunis.

I love Seth McFarlane’s animations, (except American Dad), enough to have a genuine interest in him taking the plunge and exploring live action with his brand of comedy. I think he’s assembling a really fun cast for this one and the concept of the beer drinking, pot smoking talking bear is pretty within everyone’s reach. For some reason I can’t shake the expectation that Ted will be a weird/funny amalgamation of Family Guy’s ‘Brian’ and American Dad’s ‘Roger’ so I’m really looking forward to watching the final result.

  1. Family Guy has already wore out it’s welcome for me BUT sometimes is a guilty pleasure late at night before turning in.

Who knows maybee he’ll do better than Mike Judge.

  2. I always felt, out of his 3 shows, American Dad is the only one with any real intelligence behind it. Everything else he does is just shock value and one liners.
