A grim look at the Brother’s Grimm fairytale Little Red Riding Hood is in the works and it features the infectious Amanda Seyfried as Red.
In this variation, Red falls in love with an orphaned woodcutter played by Shiloh Fernandez, but Red is already promised to the son of a blacksmith. Add into that a werewolf that has been tormenting their villiage who likes to eat young girls, and we get a horror romance thriller.
And now we get our first looks at Seyfried as Red from the pages of Entertainment Weekly.
The only thing that puts me off of this film is Catherine Hardwicke directing. Maybe its the stink of her Twilight, or the horrifying image of just seeing her in the special features. That woman is off-putting awkward to see.
Hopefully the delicate balance of romance and horror will work for this unlike the potential horror of Twilight got buried in an Emo swamp of sappy emo-ness.
Rodney what do you mean off putting awkward to see. Is she weird looking or something.
Amanda Seyfiled is such a doll, isn’t she?
How do you butcher something like the Twilight series? Seriously? She probably made it seem better that the books actually were.
Hardwicke utterly butchered the crap out of Twilight. Chances are I’ll avoid this like the plague.
…
Well, maybe after seeing a trailer.
