  1. I won’t lie. I’ve never seen a Harry Potter movie. In the past, to me, they seemed a bit too ‘kiddie’. However this one seems pretty action packed. Is it absolutely necessary for me to see all the past movies to follow this movie and still enjoy it?

    1. guymatrin you don’t have to see all of them although it would enhance the experience. I didn’t really enjoy the first two but I found that as they got darker in tone they increasingly got better. When I look back at them all, the tone set for each movie had to do with the age of the characters. The first few were lighter in tone more naive in character which fit for where the characters were in their young lives. In closing I think the movies stand alone just as well as they do collectively.

    2. You don’t have to, but I would recomand that you at least saw the last one – number 6, Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince – before you see this one. You could also reed a review or something (on Wikipedia or somewhere else) on the book behind this movie, to get the mayor plot behind the movie (some of the former movies, especially 3 and 5, in my opinion, were easier to understand (to follow the plot) if you had read the books first).
